Floating engineered wood floors are recommended for below-grade installations. This type has to be glued or nailed. We are putting it in a space that is about 900 square feet. We have checked with strings and found that the floor is not level by as much as 2 inches in some spots. The high points are in the center of the room and slope down around the outside walls.
